Vacancy for Masters in Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management Program

Nepal Engineering College (nec) intends to recruit an Assistant Research Coordinator (ARC) to assist in the research component of Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management (iWRM) Program underway at nec. The ARC is expected to support the Research Coordinator in planning and executing students’ and faculty research programs in water resources. The research component specially intends to promoting problem based and action oriented research programs, promoting alternative perspectives (social, ecological, political and institutional) alongside of technical, economic and financial perspectives in conceiving research questions and adopting analytical framework. Special emphasis has been laid on gender, equity, livelihood and ecological integrity in the research programs to be pursued.

The candidate is expected to have minimum of Masters Degree in relevant subject (Civil/Agricultural/Water Resources Engineering, Watershed Management, Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science) with some experience in research in water sectors. The recruitment will be on a fixed period contract, initially for one year, subjected to extension.
