Title Nepal Engineering College (nec) and Aveiro University ink agreement for Internationalization in Education

Nepal Engineering College (nec), a non-profit organization operating in Changunarayan Municipality, Bhaktapur, and Aveiro University, Portugal, has signed an agreement today to cooperate for the exchange of students and/or staff in the context of the Erasmus+ program towards the implementation of an internationalization project in higher technical education in view of the fact that exchange of experience between universities of different countries and mutual visits of teachers and students are essential for quality enhancement in education.

Due to the ongoing global covid pandemic, on behalf of nec the College Principal Prof. Dr. Hari Krishna Shrestha and Pro-Rector Prof. Duterte Sandra Soares from Aveiro University, Portugal signed the agreement today virtually. Under the two-year project, teachers from Aveiro University will visit the nec and provide short-term teaching in four disciplines; similarly the faculty members from nec will visit the Aveiro University in the next phase of the project. According to the Project Coordinator Associate Prof. Durgaprasad Bhandari, four students of nec have completed their semester long study at a university in Spain and a researcher from Spain had visited nec, as a part of the project activity. The project is co-funded by Erasmus+ program of the European Commission under European Union.
